CAMPUS:
GARDENS AND GROUNDS
Marymount's
15-acre campus is located within the city of Rome, surrounded by the green
fields of Parco di Veio, a national reserve. The serene park like setting
is an inviting environment for work and play. The walkways and paths of
the school are surrounded by a variety of flowering plants and trees that
have been maintained with thoughtful care over the years. The large lawn in the center of the campus is an attractive
area for recreation, socialization and school events that include the
entire family.
With campus safety a priority, buses and cars use areas away from the school buildings and there is limited driving inside the gate. Access to the school is by the private road Via di Villa Lauchli.
Marymount received international recognition when it became the first School Yard Habitat in Europe certified by the National Wildlife Federation (NWF). The grounds of the school function as an outdoor classroom to enhance learning experiences for students of all ages.
