Varsity Sports

Marymount offers students in Grades 9-12 the opportunity to participate in a variety of varsity sports throughout the school year. The program is designed to promote physical fitness as well as the values of teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship.

Marymount is a member of the American Schools in Italy League (ASIL), which is part of the U.S. Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) League. During the season, Marymount competes with other international schools, as well as schools from the American and NATO military bases located in Italy. Therefore, in addition to practicing and playing together, our varsity athletes enjoy a significant amount of quality time together while traveling to other cities in Italy and Europe.

Once the season is finished, the teams travel to Germany to participate in the European Championships. There, the teams are regrouped into divisions according to school size. The European championships are a tough challenge lasting two to three days depending on the sport.
