Faculty and Staff

The camaraderie that exists between our students and faculty is immediately apparent to anyone visiting the campus and is in fact one of the hallmarks of the school. Marymount enjoys a degree of longevity among its faculty that is unusual in an international school setting. This longevity not only creates a feeling of family throughout the school but also affords teachers the opportunity to know the students well, providing insight into their learning styles and capabilities as they watch them grow and mature and encourage them to surpass even their own expectations.

Like the students whom they teach and inspire, Marymount’s faculty and administration come from a variety of cultural and educational backgrounds and are dedicated to sharing with their students both their expertise and their enthusiasm for learning.  Because classes are small (averaging 15 students per class), students enjoy the benefits of personal attention from teachers who continually monitor student progress.  While all Marymount faculty have college degrees, a significant number hold one or more advanced degrees, including five who hold a Ph.D.

In addition to classroom and subject area teachers, Marymount’s faculty and staff of more than 120 people includes a college counselor, IB coordinator, middle school coordinator, two librarians, four English Language Learner (ELL) specialists, three learning support specialists, and two school psychologists.

Teachers use Powerschool to help keep parents and students informed about work done in class, including assignments, quizzes, tests, and grades.
