Parents

Marymount is more than a school - it is a community that embraces students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and its friends and neighbors within Rome. The parent community is an active one at Marymount. Throughout the day parents can be found socializing at the school's coffee bar, lending a helping hand in the libraries, and attending special student occasions, such as performances, exhibitions, and presentations. A very enthusiastic Parent-Teacher Organization organizes a variety of events for parents and families throughout the year and works closely with new families to help them with a smooth transition to Rome and to Marymount. Parent-Teacher Conferences take place twice a year, and parents can make individual appointments with faculty and administrators at any time.

Parent-Teacher Organization

The Parents-Teacher Organization (PTO) plays a leading role throughout the year in organizing a variety of fun and supportive events for the school, including a Halloween Party, Christmas Party, Teacher Appreciation Day, Marymount Dinner Gala, and International Food Day, among others. Parents also enjoy opportunities to enroll in classes specifically designed for parents, including computer skills, language classes, and fitness classes. A Booster Club also provides opportunities for parents to show their support of the school's athletics programs. Learn more about the PTO.

Supporting Marymount

As technology becomes more sophisticated, colleges and universities become more competitive, and demand for the best and brightest continues to soar, Marymount strives to ensure that each of its students has access to the teachers and tools that will best help them to succeed.  In today's world, tuition alone no longer provides sufficient income for schools to both educate and advance, and Marymount is no exception. Learn about the ways in which your support of Marymount can benefit the school and its students.
